Chaerin Kim is a M.A. candidate in Asian Studies at Georgetown University. Her professional background encompasses internships and research assistantships at the U.S. Embassy Seoul and the UniKorea Foundation, along with research and translation work for the Pacific Forum and Global NK Zoom & Connect. Her research centers on U.S.-ROK alliance politics, DPRK strategic behavior and ROK foreign policy, drawing on Korean-language primary sources and open-source analysis. Her writing has been published by the East Asia Institute and in The Diplomat. Chaerin holds a B.A. in International Studies from Korea University and is a recipient of the Fulbright Graduate Student Award.
