The Institute for Peace and Unification Studies at Seoul National University will hold the 41st Peace Studies Forum under the theme of Border and Peace. Professor Kim Oh-seok of the Department of Geography and Geography Education at Korea University will present on Border of Conflict, Shared Ecology: Analysis of Historical Land Use Change and Ecological and Environmental Risks in the DMZ Region. The forum will be held online via Zoom, with advance registration required. Zoom links will be sent to registered participants by email.

A youth song festival held on the beach stage at Busan Gwangalli, inviting youth artists to perform their own original songs. The application period runs from July 15, 2026 to August 30, 2026 at 23:59. The first video screening takes place from August 31 to September 4, the second on-site preliminary round is on September 18 at Busan Gwangalli, and the finals and awards ceremony are on September 20 at Busan Gwangalli. Eligible participants are youths aged 19 to 39, either individuals or teams of up to six people. Total prize money is 3 million won.

Chuseok, also known as Hangawi, is a harvest festival held on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month. The festival expresses gratitude to ancestors and the state.
