The agreement involves four affiliates — Samsung Electronics, Samsung SDS, Samsung C&T and Samsung Heavy Industries — and is tied to OpenAI’s “Stargate” project, which intends to invest $500 billion over the next four years building new AI infrastructure for OpenAI in the U.S. Samsung Electronics will provide high-performance DRAM, while Samsung SDS will develop data centers and sell ChatGPT Enterprise services in South Korea.
