Feature Digital memory project rewrites Korean War remembrance on forgotten battlefieldA grassroots tour near the DMZ uses QR codes and videos to revive a British battle where official memory fell silent A quiet stretch of hills and river crossings near Paju has become the site of a new kind of Korean War memorial: one that blends physical markers with digital infrastructure. On July 25, just ahead of Armistice Day, the British Korean War Memorial Committee (BKWMC), a volunteer-led group of Britons living in Korea, launched the Battle of Imjin River Memorial Digital Tour at the British Embassy in Seoul. The tour overlays the 1951 Battle of the Imjin River onto present-day terrain, allowing visitors to trace the British 29th Infantry Brigade’s defensive lines that were manned by 700 soldiers of the © Korea Risk Group.
