The affected companies have either completed recovery or are in the process of recovery, and the damage is relatively less severe compared to other countries, according to presidential office spokesperson Jeong Hye-jeon. The presidential office attributed the limited impact to South Korea’s “well-established IT infrastructure, such as the Cloud Security Assurance Program (CSAP) and domestic security solutions.” A flawed software updatesent out by cybersecurity company CrowdStrike on July 19 to its © Korea Risk Group.
