South Korean President Lee Jae-myung held a summit with United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday, agreeing to expand cooperation across artificial intelligence (AI), energy, investment and advanced industry. The two leaders discussed long-term strategic partnership plans and witnessed the signing of agreements in AI, advanced technology, science, trade and intellectual property, following a formal state reception and bilateral talks.

The UAE pledged deeper collaboration in AI and data center development, including projects tied to OpenAI’s “Stargate” initiative, while both sides agreed to pursue integrated cooperation spanning AI, energy and defense industrial production. Seoul
