The foundry deal runs through Dec. 31, 2033, and marks the largest single chip order in Samsung’s history, equivalent to 7.6% of its total 2024 revenue. Although Samsung did not name the client, Tesla CEO Elon Musk later confirmedvia social media that the chips will be manufactured at Samsung’s upcoming fab in Taylor, Texas, and will power Tesla’s next-generation AI6 platform.
