The Korea Army International Defense Industry Exhibition (KADEX) opened Wednesday, signaling South Korea’s increasing role in the global defense market. The event, held at Gyeryongdae military headquarters, brings together 365 companies from 27 countries, including leading defense firms like Hanwha Aerospace, Hyundai Rotem and Lockheed Martin. Poland’s Deputy Defense Minister Pawel Bejda attended, highlighting growing defense ties between South Korea and Poland.

South Korea aims to strengthen its military capabilities through this platform, which features advanced weapons systems, including the K2 tank and drone-intercepting laser technology. The exhibition also serves as a hub for defense cooperation discussions, particularly with ASEAN nations, as part of broader efforts to secure new defense partnerships.
