Cho Tae-yul and Wang Yi set to discuss thorny bilateral relations, regional issues ahead of upcoming summit
The South Korean and Chinese foreign ministers are expected to discuss bilateral relations, issues pertaining to the Korean Peninsula and regional and international issues on Monday and Tuesday. South Korean foreign minister Cho Tae-yul and Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi will also finalize details for the upcoming ROK-Japan-China trilateral summit.
During his visit to Beijing, Cho will also meet with ROK business leaders in China to address their concerns and discuss support measures. Additionally, he will convene a meeting with the consuls general in China to share the results of his meeting with Wang and encourage strategic efforts to promote political, economic, cultural and people-to-people exchanges at the local level to bolster ROK-China relations.
