Jang Dong-hyuk, a spokesperson for the ruling People Power Party (PPP), issued a statement on Sept. 28, criticizing opposition Democratic Party (DP) leader Lee Jae-myung following the Seoul Central District Court’s decision to reject an arrest warrant against him. Jang emphasized that while the DP propels a narrative of Lee’s innocence, the ongoing situation further illuminates Lee’s alleged misdeeds.

Jang contested Lee’s previous claims, where he had dismissed the prosecutors’ probe as a fabricated story, pointing out that during the warrant review, the court acknowledged several criminal allegations against Lee as factual. Jang called for Lee’s apology and resignation.
