Seoul city schools recently considered adopting a sex education curriculum emphasizing abstinence, heterosexual-only relationships, and the immutability of distinct, fixed genders from birth. 

The Seoul Metropolitan Council’s education committee took a close look at a preliminary ordinance on sex education aimed at “creating a school culture in which students, faculty, and guardians respect sexual and biological ethics.”
