The two ministers reviewed implementation of a joint action plan tied to their <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/koreapro.org\/2023\/06\/south-koreas-largest-economic-delegation-heads-to-vietnam-under-yoons-lead\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">comprehensive strategic partnership<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and agreed to strengthen collaboration in areas including energy, nuclear power, high-speed rail, science and technology, labor and consular coordination, according to the foreign ministry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cho raised operational concerns on behalf of South Korean businesses in Vietnam, citing persistent difficulties with labor permits, licensing procedures and residency status. As Seoul expands its economic footprint in Vietnam \u2014 particularly in high-tech manufacturing \u2014 these issues could pose material risks to supply chain stability and investment continuity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chinese leader Xi Jinping\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fmprc.gov.cn\/zyxw\/202504\/t20250415_11594883.shtml\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">concurrent visit<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to Hanoi further highlights Vietnam\u2019s strategic value. While Beijing promotes a centralized, state-to-state model, Seoul is betting on commercial access, infrastructure investment and policy reliability.
