Lawmaker offices and committees oversee ministries and have the authority to demand answers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, many critical discussions within political, business and diplomatic circles occur behind the scenes and are not publicly disclosed.
