South Korean defense minister Lee Jong-sup will embark on an official visit to Poland from Aug. 30 to Sept. 2, according to a press briefing by a defense ministry spokesperson on Wednesday. On Aug. 31, Lee will inspect ongoing preparations by South Korean firms participating in the <\/span>31st International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO)<\/span><\/a> \u2014 Poland\u2019s annual national defense exhibition \u2014 and later meet with Polish defense minister Mariusz Blaszczak. The meeting will focus on fortifying the two countries\u2019 strategic defense partnership and broadening defense cooperation.<\/span><\/p>\n Lee will also meet with South Korean defense companies\u2019 representatives in Warsaw the following day. This meeting aims to support ROK businesses venturing into the Polish market, address their operational challenges and strategize further defense export growth.
