President is even losing support among oldest voters, long a reliable base for conservative politicians
Yoon Suk-yeol's honeymoon period — if he ever had one — is officially over. The South Korean president’s approval rating fell to 37% the first week of July, the lowest mark since Yoon became president in May and the fourth straight week of decline. In the second week of June, his approval rate stood at 53%.
The slide in numbers is beginning to look serious. It not only reflects declining approval among supporters of the opposition but also double-digit declines among those who should be his core supporters.
